Newest Thing In Urban Gardening - Tower Garden

Tower Garden http://www.kcmo.towergarden.com
I first learned of the Tower Garden, an aeroponic vertical growing system, in April 2012.

Being a NSA Direct Distributor of Juice Plus+, a whole food supplement made up of 17 fruits and vegetables, I was excited when Tower Garden was introduced.

My initial thought was what a great way to grow your own fruits and vegetables in this one complete system!

I got my Tower Garden the beginning of March 2013 and this is my first year growing my own crops!

This unit is perfect because it can sit on your patio, balcony, deck or porch.  There's no dirt needed, no kneeling, no weeding, and no use for a hoe!
Others have made Tower Garden farms, which are really cool!  My goal is to have more than one in the future.

The units are made out of a thick plastic that does not deteriorate from the sun or weather and can last up to 10+ years, saving you money on food which is more healthy for your family free of pesticides.

I started my seedlings March 17, 2013 and by the 19th they were starting to grow.

Mini Heads of lettuce, cherry tomatoes, sage, lavender, baby leaf lettuce and more.  We were all really excited.  But the weather in Kansas City, Missouri is quite unpredictable.  We like to say, "if you don't like the weather, hang around a day and it will change."  That's totally the way it is.

We've had some real teases of Spring and I've had my seedlings in and out of the house and Tower Garden more times than I can count.  You'd think I'd be frustrated at this point, but actually that's one of the beautiful things of this system if you live in an unpredictable weather area.  You can lift the little baskets right out of the Tower Garden and take them inside if the weather turns chilly.  So needless to say, I'm loving it.
